Designed in 1966 by modern art expert F. Lanier Graham, the minimalist design pieces can be fitted together like a jigsaw puzzle, reducing to a simple rectangular space.
The pieces are designed to represent their movement, the L-shaped horse, the bishop with his diagonal and the rectangular towers suggesting their movement on the chessboard.
Exhibited at the MoMA in New York, the designer chess set will delight all lovers of the game.
